Senior room have been very busy since we started back at school.
On Wednesday 12 th October we had a Road safety talk by Caroline Casey from
Cork County Council and Garda Francis which taught us some very interesting
facts. Did you know that you are seen 300 times quicker at night if you are
wearing a high-viz jacket.
We also took part in an Isak-9 maths challenge as part of maths week on
Thursday 13 th October. We worked in groups with the Isak-9 cubes to solve
puzzles given to us. It is Maths Week starting on 17 th October and we hope to
complete our Maths Trail.
On 4 th October we had a drawing workshop for Alan Nolan’s Uncanny Ireland.
Alan is a published children’s author and we got to ask him questions about his
writing and also he shared some of his drawing tips with us.
During Art this term we have been exploring spiders, scarecrows and all things
autumn!
Paudie Crowley from Carbery GAA has been in doing football training
with the students and we have really enjoyed our Zumba with Karolina again this term.
