Active Week -May '25
The weather has been amazing, and we have all really enjoyed making the most of it. From outdoor Aistear to outdoor drama, math and spelling with chalk on the lovely new tarmac, and lunch on the grass, to name a few.
There was also Active Week, which was certainly active. We started off everyday with Wake Up, Shake Up, we had a large variety of equipment to use at break times, such as table tennis sets, gym mats, a yoga ball and hoppers, and the dodgeball set as well as skipping ropes, beanbags, hula hoops, footballs etc. There was great excitement watching the 6th V 5th class match. It was nail biting stuff which came down to penalties in the end with 6th stealing the win for themselves! Well Done! Very exciting to watch and both teams played exceptionally well. To finish the week off, on Friday we had Active Stations - eight groups taking turns at eight different active stations. The eight team leaders were absolutely amazing. They were incredibly thoughtful and considerate of the younger members in their groups.
There were also Sciath na Scol matches played during the week. The boys lost their last match so they must play again. The girls also lost which unfortunately means they are out of the tournament now. They played really well, the matches were incredibly close, so well done and the main thing was we had fun!
