We had lots of fun working on our Christmas Play. It was called 'Ryan the Christmas Tree'. It was very funny and we had a great time performing it for the other classes. We learned lots of different Christmas songs and we sang and danced to Rocking around the Christmas Tree.
We all painted our own Christmas tree clay decoration. 3rd & 4th class painted a reindeer. They were sent to the kiln in Cré Pottery in Skibbereen and we were thrilled with how they all turned out.
We completed lots of Winter Art including learning how to use chalk pastel to do shading. We received lots of compliments for our snowmen.
We made mini woollen hats. We got good at making them and they made great gifts and tree decorations.
We used oil pastels to make beautiful Christmas Tree art scenes.
Every session at the sports centre was enjoyable however our last session was particularly so as we got to try a mixture of all of the different activities. The Christmas songs were blaring and we had great fun on the boogie bounce, on the air track and playing basketball. Afterwards, we had a trip to the playground. As you can tell, everyone enjoyed themselves.
In Science, we made light up Christmas cards.
On the day of the holidays, everyone wore their Christmas jumpers. We did more art and watched a Christmas movie and ate some treats. Many happy memories were made and we hope everyone had a lovely Christmas.
