Happy New Year:
January has been a busy month. The whole school got straight back into working hard for the new term. Lego club and Chess club are going well and we have introduced a new award for Good News Friday - Handwriting Award. This is hard to choose every week as people's handwriting is improving all the time here at Dromore!
We enjoyed some fun during the snowy weather.
Cycle Sense:
The senior room were improving the cycling skills and safety knowledge with Cycle Sense. They went for a cycle around the neighbourhood to finish.
Bantry Credit Union Quiz:
The middle and senior room students took part in the Bantry Credit Union quiz. This was held on a Friday evening (January 27th), at Coláiste Bheanntraí. There were around 30 teams from all the local schools. There were ten rounds for the younger category and 12 for the older category. We represented extremely well and really enjoyed the evening.
Grandparents Day:
We celebrated our grandparents on the 25th January with a special service at Dromore Church. There was tea and coffee at the school after. We are so lucky to have a fab bunch of grandparents, it was a great turn out. Thank you to everyone for coming, the children were delighted with the experience. Check out the songs we sang at the service here or in the music section of the website. Photos will be in a separate post.
Football with James:
James is back again this year. He takes all the classes out to work on our football skills and fitness. This is always really enjoyable and improves our gross motor skills! Thanks James.
